The Salon at Ballantynes has been remodeled, refurbished and rebranded as Solace Hair and Beauty.

Now under new management as Solace Hair & Beauty located on the lower ground floor, the salon has been designed as a modern and stylish haven for customers to relax and enjoy the finest hair and beauty services from a new and very talented team of stylists and beauty therapists. Solace is now welcoming back valued clients as well as new clients to experience all aspects of hair styling and beauty services.

The team at Solace will work closely with fashion and beauty departments within Ballantynes to create whole new looks for you. From a total makeover to express services. We are very excited to breathe new life into the stunning new salon.

• Nicole has worked as a senior stylist at Ballantynes for 4 years. She holds a National Certificate in Professional Hairdressing and is our expert in Blonde colour.
• Laura Jones, Stylist
• Laura has been in the hairdressing industry for 6 years and specialises in colour and hair ups. Laura trained at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology as well as the award winning Ursula Harris Hair Design. She is passionate about hair and sees it as a creative form of art. She loves making every single client feel amazing when they walk out of the door.
• Nicole Hayes, Stylist
• Nicole has been in the hairdressing industry for 6 years and has competed in the Regional Southland Competitions specialising in avant garde styles. Nicole specialises in hair-ups for wedding, balls and special occasions.
• Shannon O’Brien, Receptionist/Salon Assistant
• Shannon began working at Ballantynes a week before 22 February 2011 and is excited to be a part of the rebuild of our city and especially our new Salon. Not only does Shannon look after the running of the salon with client bookings and retail sales but she also offers luxurious and relaxing head and scalp massages.
• Zahara Osman, Beauty Therapist
• Zahara has over 12 years experience as a Beauty Therapist graduating from the National School of Aesthetics. Zahara is a Dermalogica Skin Specialist and specialises in facials, manicures, pedicures and offers treatment including electrolysis for face and body.
• Sarah Robb, Beauty Therapist
• Sarah has been in the beauty industry for over 6 years. Sarah is a Dermalogica Specialist in body care, facials and make-up. Sarah loves to pamper her clients and provides top quality service tailored to individual needs.
