Is a Gift Registry only for a wedding?
Ballantynes gift registries are ideal for any events including engagements, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, house warmings and many others.

How long before my event should I come in to make up my list?
We recommend you set up your registry 6-8 weeks before your event. However, if you are sending out your invitations before this, it is advisable that you register your details with us so your guests are aware that you have your list with us.

How much does it cost to set up a list?
It doesn't cost you anything, as it is a completely free service.

Do I have to come in store to set up my Registry?
If you are unable to visit us, you are able to set up a Registry via email. Contact us by phone or email and one of our consultants will help you set up your registry

What are my options for cards to include in my invitations?
We will provide Gift Registry cards for you to include in with your invitations. These cards contain information for your guests on how to contact Ballantynes and easily access your Gift Registry via the Ballantynes website. As another option we are able to send out letters to your guests on your behalf.

How long does it take until my guests can start purchasing?
Once you set up your Gift Registry your guest can start to view and purchase from your list within 2-3 days.

Delivery
Once an item is selected from a registry it is then gift wrapped with our compliments and held until the bride and groom confirm delivery details. If delivery of gifts to a venue is located within the Christchurch metropolitan area, Ballantynes will deliver these free of charge. For all other requested deliveries please contact the registry to discuss options and associated costs.

Why can I not find the recipient I am after and what can I do?
This may happen due to several reasons, for example, the list has not been put online yet or misspelling of a name. Another reason could be that the gift recipient has requested that the list only be accessed in store so therefore is unavailable online. We recommend you contact one of our Gift Registry Consultants.

Do I need to know the gift recipients' address?
You are not required to know or provide the gift recipients' address as the master store has this information.

How much does it cost to have items gift wrapped?
This complimentary service provides you with a stylish yet classic looking gift that adds to the ease of purchasing.
