The grapes for this wine were hand harvested, then cold soaked prior to fermentation (30% whole berries), followed by a slow, gentle post fermentation maceration.  The wine was allowed to mature in French oak barriques for 17 months.  The result is a deep dark coloured yet elegant typical cool climate Syrah wine with intense dark ripe berries, attractive spicy notes and liquorice characters.  A well-balanced Syrah with firm tannins and elegan complexity.
